Anatomy Of An Illness (1979)

Ad Asner portrays the character Norman Cousins who has been diagnosed with a degenerative spinal illness. Cousins, although naturally upset at the prognosis, refuses to go down without a fight. Unable to accept the prognosis he has been given, to remain a vegetable for the rest of his life, he begins to battle his illness using whatever weapons ha has available to him. This includes the support of his wife, and believes that he will make it through this no matter what.
